Luddite

Whereas once I prided myself on sorta knowing my way around technology, today I have to admit, I’m a Luddite.

I can’t get into my twitter account. Somehow it is existing out there all on its own, but I don’t have access to it.  I lost my “verification code” in the iOS7 update, and now I’m in twitter no-man’s land.  It took me awhile, but now at least I have a real person at twitter’s email address, and he keeps giving me directions to do things, but while I understand each and every word he uses, I don’t understand them when they’re strung together in  a sentence. I am officially old.

Runmeter likes to tell the world, especially through my self-propelling twitter account, that I have run “1 sec.” F*** no! I want to shout out!  Not 1 sec!  7 freakin’ miles dammit. Really though. Who’s counting? Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.

Lest you all think I’m some sort of major control freak, I’m not.  I’m good with letting stuff just flow.  Like weather.  I will complain when it’s hot, and shiver when it’s cold, but I know I can’t do one damn thing about it, except for lie low.  Especially when storm clouds like these were on my horizon this afternoon:

Tonight I’m hanging up the towel on my twitter and runmeter.  Tomorrow I’m going out to hire myself a monk and a pigeon.  But first tonight, I’m going to focus on Mekko.

Like a true Luddite.

Good luck with the pigeon and the monk!
I am really not liking ios7 and my job title says I am an IT technician.
That knitting is soooooo beautiful can’t wait to see the finished article.

Holy knitting. That’s spectacular. Luddites rock. 🙂

You are so funny! I am so hopeless on the computer that I was ecstatic the other day when I was able to make the simplest table in Word…I won’t even tell you how long it took me. My husband is an IT director and he just shakes his head at me when he sees me attempt anything. It is like the cobbler’s wife goes without shoes. I can knit though…although I don’t think I could even attempt what you are making; it is gorgeous!

  4. Oh wow, your knitting project is absolutely beautiful! When I was organizing my craft things I found a dog sweater I started and have been working on finishing it, but I can only dream of knitting that well, you rock! 🙂

The last couple runs I went on Nike + quit on me, even with knowing the true distance I ran, I still felt a little shorted! 😉
