for RTB, I thought I’d step up to the plate with these:
I may not be the fastest runner, but I can kick some serious a$$ in the kitchen–churning out several dozen each of three kinds of cookies–molasses, chocolate chip, and oatmeal/craisin/white choc chip–all between dinner and bedtime!
The oatmeal/craisin/white choc chip with walnuts is new in my repertoire of cookies. I am not really a fan of protein and nutrition bars. They seem so…artificial. Anyways, Grandma Pam made some of these cookies before the Providence 1/2 marathon, so we took off with them on the drive to the race, and they hit the spot that morning right before the run. Never one to tempt fate (I am an extremely superstitious athlete), I called GP before leaving work for the recipe. She told me her secret, too. Add the whole bag of chips by mistake instead of just the 1 cup the recipe calls for. Makes them super chunky!
